이 프로젝트의 목적은 Cerredo의 주 보조 주택 (아스투리아스)도 주거 건설은 25 년 넘게 한 적이 있었다 Cantabrian 산맥의 중심부에 위치한 광산 마을을 설계하고 구축하는 것이었습니다.
이 프로젝트는 L 모양을 형성이 수직 건물의 실현 두가지 단계를했다. 첫 번째 단계에서 우리는 도시를 교차 도로를 직면하고있는 가장 큰 건물이었다.
우리가 제안 판매량은 모난 모양을하고 있습니다. 이것은 도시 - 계획 규제에 의해 주어진 몇 가지 법부터에서 크리스털 기하학이다. 공식적인 결과는 중간 심각 개체, 산의 모양과 산중턱 위에 떠있는 이상한 생물 사이에 뭔가있다.

The purpose of the project was to designand build state subsidized housing in Cerredo (Asturias), a mining town locatedin the very heart of the Cantabrian Mountains, where no residentialconstruction had been made for over 25 years.
The project had two stages thatmaterialized in two perpendicular buildings forming an L shape. In the firststage we undertook the biggest building, which faces the road that crosses thetown.
The volumetric we propose has an angularshape. It is a geometry crystallized from some elementary laws that are givenby the town-planning regulations. The formal result is something halfwaybetween a petrified object, a mountain’s shape and a disturbing organismfloating over the mountainside.
This “crystallographic” object has thesame dark color as the local slate. Like a piece of coal, it absorbs almost allthe light it gets and reflects a small amount of it, calmly showing us its richgeometry.
The building’s unity contrasts with theindividuality of each of the 15 apartments that show through some galleries inthe facade. These are cubes which drill the volume using a herringbone patternand work as heat and light exchangers.
Each of the apartments is different insize, floor plan distribution, location of its gallery and in its roof’sconfiguration. All of them enjoy cross ventilation and breathtaking views ofAsturias’ craggy landscape.
The project’s nature as object isemphasized by the way the ground floor is approached: this has been set backalong its perimeter, reinforcing the idea of a “floating body.”
