집안의 공공 및 민간 날개의 설계 개념의 기초를 차지합니다. 그들은하고 지구의되고 무거운 정적 조각으로 자신의 재료와 형태를 통해 관절 아르의 생각입니다. 이러한 날개는 다양한 안뜰, 상부 지붕 캐노피와 사이에 위치 동적 살아있는 파빌리온를 지원하는 백본으로 집안의 범위와 행동을 정의합니다.

무거운 날개 각각 얇은, 접이식 지붕 캐노피를 수레 위. 단순한 표면 이상,이 지붕은 캐노피와 아무것도 숨겨진 실체로 잉태한 것은 6 개 진영은보기에 노출되어 있습니다. 이러한 캐노피 아래에 공백이 포함되어 벽은 떠있는 지붕의 환상을 만들어 내부와 외부 사이의 경계를 흐려에 유리 만들어집니다. 이러한 요소는 모두 순서 완전히 집안의 고체 요소로부터 해방되기 위해서 각도, 역동적인 형태의 언어를 채택한다.
Shaped largely by the site, the Glenbrook Residence is
conceptually a courtyard inserted between two heavy walls. Threading the walls
through the treescape to create distinct yet connected structures allows the
house to be divided spatially into the most public, most private and a living
pavilion that can become either or both. The residual in-between spaces create
outdoor rooms that engage the building.
The public and private wings of the house make up the
foundations of the design concept. They are thought of as being of the earth
and are articulated through their materials and shape as heavy, static pieces.
These wings define the bounds of the house and act as the backbone to support
the various courtyards, upper roof canopies and the dynamic living pavilion
that sits between.
The living pavilion is conceived as the center-piece of
the concept and glows like a crystal between the heavy wall elements of the
house and contains the cooking, eating, and living spaces.
Above each of the heavy wings floats a thin, folding roof
canopy. More than a simple surface, this roof canopy is conceived as an entity
where nothing is hidden and all six sides are exposed to view. The walls that
contain the spaces beneath these canopies are made of glass to create the
illusion of a floating roof and to blur the boundary between inside and
outside. All of these elements adopt a language of angular, dynamic forms in
order to be completely liberated from the solid elements of the house.
